Responsibilities

The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist reviews patient records to ensure accurate and timely documentation of conditions supporting hospitalization. They collaborate with healthcare teams to clarify documentation and facilitate appropriate MS-DRG and APR-DRG assignments.

Qualifications

Anatomy & Physiology Collaboration with healthcare team Communication skills CPT coding Healthcare documentation standards ICD-10 Coding Medical terminology MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Patient record review Teaching and educational skills

Candidates must hold a degree in nursing, a medical degree, a master's in a healthcare field, or have graduated from an accredited HIM program. Applicants require at least two to three years of relevant clinical or coding experience and appropriate professional certifications.
