Job summary

Assist with patient care duties including ADLs, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient hygiene, ambulation, and transport, under RN delegation, ensuring safety and proper documentation in a cardiology inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant performs supportive clinical duties including patient hygiene, vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKG testing. They also assist with patient mobility, transport, and documentation of care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and have at least six months of relevant nursing assistant experience. An AHA Heartsaver AED certification is required, and successful completion of the Capital Health UAP training program is mandatory within 90 days.
