Job summary

The RN-Hematology/Oncology Clinic provides outpatient services for children with hematological and oncological diagnoses, including diagnostic workups, physical exams, IV insertions, medication and chemotherapy administration, blood products, emergency care, lumbar punctures, pheresis, and post-transplant care.

Responsibilities

The nurse will provide comprehensive outpatient care for pediatric patients with hematological and oncological diagnoses, including chemotherapy administration and bone marrow transplant support. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs, coordinate care, and perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion and phone triage.

Qualifications

Biotherapy Blood Product Administration Bone Marrow Transplant Care Central Line Access and Care Chemotherapy Emergency Care Extracorporeal Photopheresis Lumbar Punctures Pediatric Hematology Oncology Peripheral IV Insertion

Candidates must hold an active registered nurse license, a BSN degree, and current AHA Healthcare Provider certification. Additionally, completion of the APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Course and previous experience in pediatric hematology/oncology are required.
