Job summary

The Senior NPI Engineer at Aurora is responsible for shepherding hardware from concept review to low-volume manufacturing, guiding design engineers, ensuring assembly process readiness, monitoring yield, maintaining product quality, providing onsite engineering support, reviewing data packages, creating manufacturing documentation, supporting APQP, researching manufacturing processes, liaising between teams, leading continuous improvement activities, and solving manufacturing challenges. The role requires extensive experience in engineering, manufacturing processes, optical alignment, and quality control, with proficiency in CAD, PDM/PLM, and process development, primarily within high-volume production environments.

Responsibilities

The Senior NPI Engineer is responsible for shepherding hardware from concept review to low-volume manufacturing while guiding design engineers on manufacturing processes. They will also manage production documentation, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and provide onsite engineering support at manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

3D CAD continuous improvement Design for Manufacturing (DfX) DFMEA manufacturing processes optical alignment problem solving process control quality control yield analysis

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in engineering within low to high volume production environments. Proficiency in quality control processes, hardware product lifecycles, and relevant technical tools like CAD and PLM systems is required.
