Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Systems Modeling & Optimization Engineer to build simulation tools for vehicle energy consumption, develop physics-based models, evaluate interactions across operations models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform vehicle/system architecture decisions. The role requires extensive experience in systems modeling, data science, and programming, with a preference for expertise in machine learning, physics-based simulation, and optimization.

Responsibilities

Build unified modeling and simulation tools for vehicle energy consumption and fleet-level Total Cost of Ownership. Develop city-level fleet simulators to inform vehicle architecture decisions and production fleet orchestration software.

Qualifications
