Job summary

The role of Electrical Shift Technician involves maintaining and operating critical utilities systems in a pharmaceutical environment, responding to alarms and deviations, performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and site procedures. Candidates should have electrical engineering qualifications, experience with utilities such as pumps, HVAC, boilers, and instrumentation, and the ability to work within safety and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Ensure the continuous availability of critical utilities equipment through monitoring, first-line maintenance, and rapid response to alarms. Coordinate with subcontractors and engineering teams to maintain regulatory compliance and update standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Communication skills Electrical engineering GMP systems Instrumentation P&ID reading PLC and SCADA systems Preventive Maintenance Pumps, HVAC, Compressors, Boilers, Chillers, Water Systems Troubleshooting Work Permit system

Requires a Senior Trades or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of industrial utilities experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals. Must be proficient in maintaining pumps, boilers, chillers, and electrical systems within a GMP environment.
