Job summary

Assist in examination and treatment of patients, manage check-in, conduct vital signs, draw blood, prepare specimens, and maintain medical records.

Responsibilities

Register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, prepare patients for examinations, measure vital signs, and perform point-of-care tests. Maintain medical records, supplies, exam rooms, and equipment, while supporting patient communication, referrals, follow-up, and daily center operations.

Qualifications

A high school diploma and graduation from a medical assisting program are required; medical assistant and front desk experience are preferred. Applicants must have BLS and an accepted medical assistant certification at hire, or an approved nursing, LPN/RN, or EMT qualification, and must obtain CPOE certification within two weeks of starting.
