Job summary

As a Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams in the development and early engineering stages of major electricity transmission projects, including overhead line and substation design, ensuring technical, regulatory, and environmental compliance. The role involves stakeholder engagement, risk management, and supporting planning and consent processes within complex infrastructure projects to support the UK’s decarbonisation efforts.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary teams through the early development lifecycle of major electricity transmission infrastructure projects. Oversee engineering development, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance to ensure projects are technically robust and ready for financial sanction.

Qualifications

Engineering Environmental Legislation Health & Safety Overhead Line Design Project Management Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Stakeholder Management Team Leadership Transmission System Knowledge

Requires an engineering degree and proven experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and high-voltage transmission projects. Proficiency in CDM, health and safety legislation, and the DCO consenting process is essential.
