Job summary

A Peer Recovery Specialist supports individuals in behavioral health recovery, helping them access resources, overcome barriers, and develop coping strategies. Key duties include case management, crisis intervention, and assisting in community resource linkage for clients in recovery from addiction or mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

The Peer Recovery Specialist will act as a case manager to support clients in their recovery journey by connecting them to community resources and healthcare services. They will provide crisis intervention, educate clients on coping skills, and assist in developing stable recovery support systems.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and possess a valid driver's license. A minimum of 2 years in recovery is required, and certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is preferred or must be obtained within the first year.
