Job summary

The Nurse Assistant supports patient care activities in a telemetry unit, including feeding, specimen collection, equipment handling, safety procedures, and patient transport under RN guidance, requiring high school diploma, clinical rotation or CNA certification, and BLS.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, including monitoring telemetry patients and assisting with daily living needs. They are also responsible for maintaining supplies, transporting patients, and ensuring a safe environment through hourly rounding.

Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) Communication Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance Feeding Assistance Patient Care Patient Transport Safety Observation Specimen Collection Supply Management Teamwork

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and hold a valid PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) certification or have completed one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program. BLS certification is required, and one year of relevant experience or EMT certification may be accepted in lieu of the clinical rotation requirement.
