Job summary

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping leads hotel housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, guest satisfaction, and team efficiency, while assisting with budgeting, staff supervision, inspections, and guest requests.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Housekeeping in managing guest-room, public-area, laundry, and back-of-house operations, including staffing, inspections, inventory, budgets, and cost controls. Address guest concerns, coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, and lead the department when the Director is absent.

Qualifications

Requires two to three years of experience in a related position and thorough knowledge of housekeeping operations and hotel policies and procedures. Candidates need supervisory or management skills, the ability to compile facts and figures, and the ability to communicate information and hotel services to management and guests; a second language may be required.
