Job summary

The Manager, HSSE is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and governance oversight in areas including management system administration, compliance assurance, occupational health programs, crisis and emergency management, audits and assessments, incident learning, and performance improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction, and Corporate functions to strengthen regulatory compliance, drive risk reduction, and promote consistent application of HSSE standards across the organization.

Responsibilities

The Manager, HSSE provides subject matter expertise and governance oversight for management systems, compliance, and risk reduction initiatives. They lead audits, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness programs while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of HSSE standards.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 8+ years of progressive HSSE experience and relevant certifications such as CSP, OHST, or CHST. The role requires the ability to travel to site locations and meet specific physical demands, including working in complex construction environments.
