The Mechatronic Field Technician I supports installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Canrig drilling equipment and electro-mechanical systems at customer sites, applying foundational electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, controls, and field-service skills to ensure equipment availability and provide professional on-site support.

Responsibilities

The Mechatronic Field Technician supports the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of drilling equipment and integrated electromechanical systems at customer sites. They are responsible for documenting service results, ensuring safety compliance, and providing professional on-site technical support.

Qualifications

Electrical Safety Electromechanical Systems Electronic Test Equipment Hydraulic Troubleshooting Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Preventative Service Root Cause Analysis Sensor Technology Service Installation System Testing

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of relevant technical experience in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and the ability to travel extensively to land and offshore locations are required.
