Job summary

The role focuses on optimizing training and inference workloads on accelerators like GPUs and TPUs through the Lightning Thunder compiler and PyTorch Lightning ecosystem. Responsibilities include developing performance-oriented model optimizations, enhancing the Thunder compiler, ensuring system and kernel-level performance, and collaborating across research and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Develop performance-oriented model optimizations at multiple levels and advance the Thunder compiler by building optimization passes and integration hooks. Collaborate with hardware vendors and contribute to open-source projects to enhance the machine learning ecosystem.

Qualifications

Compiler Internals Deep Learning Frameworks Distributed Systems GPU Programming (CUDA, Triton) Model Optimization Techniques Open-source Contributions Software Engineering Practices

Candidates should have strong expertise with deep learning frameworks and hands-on experience with model optimization techniques. A deep understanding of compiler internals and experience with CUDA or Triton is also required.
