Job summary

The Lead Engineering Technician supervises maintenance activities, ensures equipment reliability, GMP compliance, and supports manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate engineering technicians and daily maintenance activities, including preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, contractor work, and accurate maintenance documentation. Ensure safe, GMP-compliant operations while supporting investigations and corrective actions and improving equipment reliability, team capability, and maintenance efficiency.

Qualifications

CAPA Management Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Electrical Maintenance Engineering Principle Equipment Inspection HVAC Systems Interpret Electrical Drawings Maintenance Management Manufacturing Mechanical Maintenance

Requires a recognized engineering apprenticeship, qualification, or equivalent experience, a strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background in manufacturing, and experience providing technical leadership or supervising maintenance. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills are essential; pharmaceutical or GMP experience, an HNC/HND, relevant systems knowledge, and SAP or similar CMMS experience are desirable.
