Lila Sciences seeks a Computational Scientist to develop models, tools, and workflows for complex fluids like colloidal suspensions, emulsions, and polymers using machine learning, simulations, and domain expertise. Responsibilities include building structure-property models, active learning workflows, and integrating mesoscale or continuum simulations to accelerate discovery in soft matter formulations.

Responsibilities

Develop machine learning models and active learning workflows to accelerate the discovery of complex fluid formulations. Bridge domain expertise in soft matter with computational execution to link composition and microstructure to bulk fluid properties.

Qualifications

CFD composite modeling dissipative particle dynamics experimental data analysis formulation science interfacial science machine learning molecular dynamics Python rheology

Requires a PhD in a relevant scientific field or a Master's with equivalent experience, along with strong Python and ML framework skills. Candidates must have domain expertise in complex fluids, colloids, or rheology and experience applying ML to materials-focused problems.
