Job summary

Waymo is seeking an experienced SoC Architect to define, lead, and execute the architecture and microarchitecture of next-generation autonomous vehicle SoCs. The role involves hardware specification, IP and subsystem implementation, power/performance optimization, and collaboration with software teams, requiring deep expertise in digital design, systemlevel architecture, and extensive ASIC/SoC experience.

Responsibilities

Define the architecture and microarchitecture for next-generation autonomous vehicle SoCs while translating system-level requirements into detailed hardware specifications. Lead the implementation of IPs and subsystems, collaborating with software and firmware teams to ensure optimal hardware performance.

Qualifications

ASIC design debugging and problem-solving digital design hardware/software co-design high-performance computing microarchitecture power and area optimization programming/scripting languages (Python, C++) RTL design SoC

Requires 10+ years of industry experience in ASIC/SoC digital design and a proven track record of technical leadership in successful tapeouts. Candidates must possess deep expertise in SystemVerilog and a strong understanding of computer architecture and high-speed interconnects.
