Job summary

The Reservoir Engineering Technology team conducts applied research and develops innovative approaches to improve the understanding of multiphase flow in porous media and formation evaluation for conventional and unconventional reservoirs. The Graduate Summer Intern supports research involving laboratory experimentation, data analysis, literature review, and evaluation of technologies related to reservoir characterization and development, working under guidance from experienced researchers.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a supervised research project on multiphase flow, formation evaluation, petrophysical characterization, or related reservoir technologies through literature reviews, experiments, technology evaluations, and data analysis. Document reproducible methods and findings, collaborate with R&D colleagues, and prepare technical reports, project updates, and a final presentation.

Qualifications

C++ Fluid flow Geomechanics Laboratory characterization MATLAB Petrophysics Porous media Python Reservoir engineering Scientific computing

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and be currently enrolled in a graduate program; relevant coursework or research in subsurface systems is preferred. Experience with experimentation, data analysis, numerical methods, or scientific computing is desirable, as are Python, C++, or MATLAB familiarity, clear communication, professionalism, and availability for the full internship term.
