Job summary

Waymo is seeking an ML ASIC Design Engineer to work on high-performance compute platforms for autonomous vehicles. Responsibilities include microarchitecture specification, custom silicon design, performance and power optimization, and collaboration with verification teams. Requires industry experience in ASIC RTL design, microarchitecture, and programming skills in Python and C++.

Responsibilities

You will design and specify microarchitectures for high-performance ML compute platforms while collaborating with researchers to translate requirements into hardware features. Additionally, you will perform power, area, and performance optimization for digital ASIC designs and work with verification teams to ensure functional correctness.

Qualifications

ASIC RTL design digital ASIC design formal verification tools Hardware Description Languages (HDL) high performance cores machine learning algorithms microarchitecture performance optimization power analysis SystemVerilog

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of industry experience in SystemVerilog and ASIC RTL design. Proficiency in high-level programming languages like Python or C++ and 3+ years of experience designing high-performance computing cores are also required.
