Job summary

The Principal Electrical Design Engineer provides technical leadership in electrical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, leading multidisciplinary teams through design stages, ensuring standards compliance, safety, and innovation. Responsibilities include detailed design, project delivery, team mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring quality and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical engineering designs in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Lead multidisciplinary teams through all design stages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Electrical CAD Software Electrical Design Energy Optimization Feasibility Studies HAZOP/HAZID Leadership Project Management Regulatory Standards Safety Standards Water Infrastructure

Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status or progress toward it, with extensive experience in water industry electrical design. Must be proficient in electrical design software and have a strong understanding of UK water utility regulatory environments.
