Job summary

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Growth team to improve user discovery, onboarding, and activation through full-stack development (TypeScript, React, Python). The role involves designing scalable backend systems, creating engaging frontend experiences, conducting A/B tests, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance user acquisition and retention.

Responsibilities

You will build and optimize user-facing experiences to improve discovery and onboarding while developing scalable backend systems. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to design A/B experiments that drive user acquisition and activation.

Qualifications

A/B testing backend development Flask frontend development full stack development performance optimization Python React scalability TypeScript

Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Python. You should also possess practical experience in designing A/B tests and working across the full stack.
