Job summary

A Senior Melt Polymer Scientist at LILA will lead the development and optimization of solid polymers, especially hot melt adhesives, using polymer science, formulation chemistry, and autonomous science platforms. Responsibilities include designing experiments, characterizing materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to accelerate materials discovery through AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

You will lead the development and optimization of solid polymer formulations using high-throughput melt processing and characterization techniques. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate experimental data into autonomous closed-loop workflows and machine learning models.

Chemical Engineering Chemistry DSC GPC/SEC Materials Science Melt polymer formulation Melt processing Polymer extrusion Polymer Science Rheology

A PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is required, along with at least 3 years of postdoctoral or industry experience. Candidates must possess hands-on expertise in melt polymer formulation, extrusion, and standard characterization techniques.
