Job summary

Manage and oversee the design process on construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, stakeholder requirements, and sustainability standards. Lead design teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Responsibilities

The Design Manager will lead design management across complex projects, working closely with senior project teams and external consultants from pre-bid to handover. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with internal governance, safety regulations, and project milestones while managing third-party interfaces and client relationships.

Candidates must hold a professional construction qualification, such as a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering, and possess a valid CSCS card. Essential experience includes managing design teams, leading safety initiatives, and demonstrating thorough knowledge of construction legislation, including CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act.
