Job summary

Join our healthcare team as an Assessment Specialist, focusing on evaluating patients seeking mental health, substance abuse, or psychiatric care. The role involves conducting assessments, coordinating with clinical staff, and providing therapeutic information to patients and families.

Responsibilities

The Assessment Specialist receives inquiry calls and conducts face-to-face assessments to triage patients for appropriate community referrals or facility admission. They perform comprehensive clinical assessments and coordinate with the clinical team to ensure quality therapeutic care for patients with psychiatric or substance abuse disorders.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a current clinical, social work, or RN license in the state of Ohio and possess either an Associate’s degree in nursing or a Master’s degree in social work/counseling. Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients is preferred, along with CPR and de-escalation certifications.
