Job summary

Lead optical system architecture, design, and verification for advanced near-to-eye display subsystems in a defense context, involving full lifecycle ownership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and regular international travel.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture decisions and optical trades for near-to-eye display sub-systems while owning the full lifecycle of optical hardware from design to validation. Partner closely with optical process engineering to define performance requirements and ensure design intent aligns with manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

Alignment and Test of Optical Systems Analysis of Optical Systems Diffraction-Limited Imaging Systems Image Quality Metrics and Data Analysis Modeling and Analysis Software (Zemax or CODE V) Optical Error Budgeting Optical Manufacturing and Metrology Optical Performance Requirements Definition Optical System Design STOP Analysis

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a concentration in Optics and extensive experience in complex optical system design and analysis. Candidates must be proficient in Zemax or CODE V and willing to travel internationally on a regular basis.
