Job summary

The Counsel, Employment, will serve as a trusted legal partner to Brex’s People team, providing practical guidance on employment matters, managing disputes, supporting policy development, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S. and international locations. The role requires at least 5 years of employment law experience, strong communication skills, and a JD.

Responsibilities

The Counsel will provide business-minded legal guidance to the People team on employment matters including performance management, hiring, and compensation. They will also manage employment-related disputes, litigation, and the development of internal policies to mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in employment law and possess an active Juris Doctor (JD) degree with bar membership. Strong organizational skills and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment are essential.
