Job summary

A Mechanical Designer is sought to create and review models and BOMs for power distribution equipment including switchgear and panelboards, supporting electrical and manufacturing teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Designer will convert electrical diagrams into mechanical models, review and prepare BOMs for procurement, and support engineering and manufacturing teams with drafting, modeling, and project queries.

3D Modeling ANSI standards ASME standards AutoCAD Bill of Material Bill of Materials Bill of Materials (BOM) Communication Skills Electrical Diagrams Electrical Drawings Mechanical Components Mechanical Design Principles Mechanical Engineering NEC standards Power Distribution Equipment Problem Solving Sheet Metal Design SolidWorks Standards (ANSI, ASME, NEC, UL) Switchgear

Candidates should have 1-3 years of sheet metal design experience, preferably in medium voltage switchgear, with skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, along with knowledge of relevant standards and excellent communication skills.
