Job summary

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, monitors ECG, interprets data, documents results, and communicates with healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Continuously monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, document interpretations and relevant changes, and promptly communicate patient rhythm changes or equipment issues to the nursing team. Support patient safety, departmental competencies, team orientation, and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

SPO2 monitoring alarm response communication documentation dysrhythmia ECG interpretation electronic equipment operation heart blocks multi-tasking organization

A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be able to complete a Basic Dysrhythmia course and pass the Telemetry Technician test. Three to six months of prior experience is preferred, along with knowledge of dysrhythmias, heart blocks, SpO2 monitoring, and alarm response.
