Job summary

The Engineering Manager, Agent Foundations, will lead a team building AI agent foundations, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and scalability, while collaborating on technical design, standards, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a distributed engineering group focused on building foundations for AI agents to run safely and effectively. Partner with product and UX teams to define milestones, prioritize technical initiatives, and drive the development of the GitLab Duo Agent Platform.

Qualifications

Requires experience managing distributed engineering teams and technical leads with a strong background in hands-on engineering. Candidates should possess technical judgment in AI coding tools, agent harnesses, and modern software development practices.
