Job summary

The role is a Principal Infrastructure Architect at DigitalOcean, responsible for designing and owning the forward-looking roadmap for hardware platforms including CPU, GPU, storage, and infrastructure systems. The candidate will lead initiatives to develop next-generation compute environments, collaborate across teams, and represent the company externally.

Responsibilities

Own the forward-looking roadmap for CPU, GPU, Storage, and Infrastructure hardware platforms to support next-generation compute environments. Lead the design of end-to-end server and storage topologies while mentoring engineers and representing the company at technical conferences.

Qualifications

AI/ML Hardware Roadmaps Computational Storage Compute Technologies CXL memory pooling Disaggregated Storage DPUs/SmartNICs Infrastructure Engineering Proof-of-Concept Initiatives Server Architecture Storage Architecture

Requires 10+ years of experience in server or storage architecture with a proven track record of deploying designs at scale. Must possess deep expertise in AI/ML hardware trends and emerging technologies like CXL and SmartNICs.
