Job summary

The EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, conducting inspections, incident investigations, training staff, managing permits, and maintaining safety programs within a biomedical or pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

The specialist is responsible for maintaining statutory site permits and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies. This includes conducting safety observations, managing waste programs, and investigating incidents or near misses.

Qualifications

Air, water, waste monitoring Document management Environmental health and safety regulations Ergonomic assessments Hazardous waste management Incident investigation Regulatory compliance Regulatory inspections and reporting Safety observations Training and development

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related Science/Social Science field is required. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
