Job summary

A hands-on Stores Operative role supporting ship repair projects by managing supplies, inventory, and logistics within a busy industrial environment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

Issue materials, tools, and equipment to operational teams, maintain accurate inventory records, and support stock control. Receive and inspect deliveries, report damaged or non-conforming goods, keep store areas safe and organised, and coordinate materials movement and logistics with colleagues.

Previous stores or logistics experience, knowledge of stock control and computerised data entry, and computer literacy including Microsoft Excel and Sage 200 are requested. A current forklift certification and a full clean driving licence are also required; knowledge of lifting equipment is advantageous.
