Job summary

Aurora seeks a Staff Software Engineer for its Vehicle Connectivity team responsible for designing reliable, low-latency vehicle-to-cloud communication systems, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high-performance networking in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

You will define the vehicle connectivity and communication architecture while designing a highly-reliable, low-latency framework for vehicle-to-cloud communications. Additionally, you will mentor senior engineers, set coding standards, and collaborate with autonomy engineers to ensure performance requirements are met.

Qualifications

C++ GoLang gRPC HTTP Linux Networking protocols Performance optimization Safety-critical systems TCP UDP

Candidates must have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with expert-level C++ programming skills in a Linux environment. Strong experience with networking protocols and the ability to work effectively in large, complex codebases is required.
