Job summary

The Shift Technician role at CHEP involves maintaining manufacturing assets through proactive and reactive maintenance, root cause analysis, and supporting site reliability and continuous improvements in a busy supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain manufacturing assets through proactive and reactive maintenance, using a multi-skilled approach and following health and safety procedures. Investigate equipment failures, report work in the CMMS, support reliability and improvement initiatives, and issue permits and supervise contractors.

Qualifications

Electrical Mechanical Multi-Skilled Engineering

An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering qualification is essential; candidates with a mechanical specialism must provide evidence of cross-skilling. Desirable qualifications and training include 18th Edition wiring regulations, PAT testing, PLCs, abrasive wheels, welding, IOSH, and machine safety training.
