Job summary

Assist in preparing technical electrical and civil drawings for substations and transmission lines, supporting infrastructure design and documentation using CAD tools, with focus on accuracy and standards compliance.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise electrical, civil, and structural CAD drawings for substations and transmission and distribution infrastructure, including schematics, layouts, routing plans, and construction documentation. Interpret engineering notes and specifications, maintain drawing records and version control, and coordinate revisions with engineers and project teams while following applicable codes and drafting procedures.

Qualifications

Attention to detail AutoCAD Civil 3D Civil drafting Electrical circuits Electrical drafting MicroStation Revit Structural drafting Technical drawing

An associate degree or technical certification in drafting, electrical design, civil design, or a related field is required; internship or prior experience in utility, substation, or structural design is preferred. Candidates should have AutoCAD proficiency, basic electrical or civil drafting knowledge, the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
