Job summary

A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will serve as the founding clinician of firsthand's hospital psychiatric consult service, providing immediate bedside assessments, treatment, and outpatient follow-up for patients with serious mental illness in a hospital setting, working closely with hospital teams and a supervising psychiatrist.

Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct same-day psychiatric consultations in hospital settings and provide ongoing outpatient bridge care for patients. They will collaborate with medical teams to develop treatment plans, perform crisis interventions, and manage medications for patients with serious mental illness.
