The Microbiology Laboratory Technician II at Viatris will perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products, waters, and environmental monitoring in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include test execution, documentation, investigation, trend analysis, and supporting process validation and stability programs, requiring microbiology expertise and experience with USP and Ph. Eur. standards.

Responsibilities

The Microbiology Laboratory Technician II performs daily microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, including environmental monitoring of classified areas. They are also responsible for conducting laboratory investigations, reviewing raw data, and ensuring compliance with GMP documentation standards.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline, preferably Microbiology, with 2-4 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience. Proficiency in sterility, bioburden, and endotoxin testing, along with knowledge of FDA/HPRA regulations and USP/Ph. Eur. requirements, is essential.
