Job summary

Langan offers land development engineering and environmental consulting services, seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern/Co-op to assist with technical aspects of geotechnical projects, including field work, report preparation, and calculations, in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

Assist with geotechnical field investigations, including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples and data, conducting field tests, and observing foundation and earthwork construction for conformance with project documents. Prepare field records, calculations, report exhibits, plans, and technical reports, while supporting site reviews and learning geotechnical engineering analyses and software.

Applicants must be actively pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; geotechnical coursework and a GPA of 3.0 or higher are preferred. The role calls for working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively; travel may be required.
