Job summary

A Senior Care Assistant supervises and supports a team providing high-quality, personalized care for residents in a dementia care home, including clinical duties, team leadership, building relationships with residents and families, and ensuring personalized support and dignity.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day running of a care unit and leading a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality personal care. Duties include supporting clinical tasks, managing shift handovers, and building relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Caregiving Clinical Support Communication Dementia Care Medication Support Record Keeping Team Management

Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role and be working towards or have completed an NVQ3 in care. A passion for providing dignified, person-centred support for individuals with dementia is essential.
