Job summary

The Nurse Assistant will provide direct and indirect patient care activities under RN guidance in a critical care setting, including feeding, specimen collection, equipment management, and patient safety procedures, with responsibilities suited for a healthcare professional with a high school diploma or equivalent, clinical experience, and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, including monitoring, feeding, and transporting patients. Maintain unit safety and cleanliness by stocking supplies, performing hourly rounds, and assisting with patient hygiene and mobility.

Basic Medical Procedures Communication with Patients and Families Equipment Application and Management Feeding Assistance Monitoring Intake and Output Patient Care Patient Transport Repositioning and Turning Patients Safety and Environment Monitoring Specimen Collection

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either a PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) certification or completion of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program. BLS certification is mandatory, and one year of relevant experience or EMT certification may be accepted in lieu of the clinical rotation requirement.
