The Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning system improvements and capital needs for water and wastewater systems, including analysis, forecasting, and modeling to ensure reliable service delivery within regulatory requirements. The role requires preparing reports, risk assessment, performing hydraulic and flow calculations, and coordinating with operations and stakeholders. A B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Sanitary, or Environmental Engineering is required, with experience in water industry modeling software, GIS, and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer forecasts and plans water and wastewater system improvements to ensure reliable service while meeting regulatory requirements. They analyze technical data, conduct hydraulic modeling, and manage capital project budgets to support long-term infrastructure needs.
