Job summary

The I&C Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs plant instrumentation and control systems in a power generation facility, supporting safe and reliable plant operation, outages, startups, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, control systems, field devices, and associated electrical equipment. Support plant operations, outages, startups, shutdowns, commissioning, and testing while maintaining accurate work records and coordinating with operations staff, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

Calibration Controls Electrical systems Instrumentation Mechanical repair P&ID interpretation Plant maintenance System support Troubleshooting Wiring and diagrams

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant experience in power generation, industrial instrumentation and controls, electrical maintenance, or a related industrial environment. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot systems, interpret technical drawings, work varied schedules, and hold or obtain a TWIC card; technical education and experience with GE Mark VIe and combined-cycle plants are preferred.
