Responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms (EKG/ECG), timely alerting response, data maintenance, and clerical support on nursing units, requiring knowledge of hospital protocols and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

The technician is responsible for continuously monitoring and interpreting patient cardiac rhythms and ensuring timely responses to alarms. They also perform clerical and communication tasks to support the nursing unit.

Qualifications

Clerical skills Communication skills Data reporting Dysrhythmia recognition EKG/ECG interpretation English language proficiency Knowledge of hospital policies Patient monitoring Telemetry monitoring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed a Dysrhythmia course. Previous monitor technician experience and a Certified Telemetry Technician certification are preferred.
