Job summary

A maintenance engineer is needed to support manufacturing and packaging lines, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support process improvements in a fast-paced food production environment.

Responsibilities

The engineer will provide technical support across all manufacturing and packaging lines, focusing on ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime through maintenance and continuous improvement activities. This includes performing planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment and diagnosing various mechanical and electrical faults.

Qualifications

Candidates must be a time-served Engineer or hold an equivalent qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3) with proven experience in a fast-moving, semi-automated manufacturing setting, preferably in food or FMCG. Essential requirements include strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems, PLC knowledge, and the ability to work a continental shift pattern.
