Job summary

Responsible for assisting with the professional role development of members of the Nursing Department as well as the implementation of programs to improve the quality of care delivered. Acts as a resource for training, education, and implementing changes in nursing practice to ensure high-quality patient care. Works with the team to identify improvements, develop programs, and support nurse education and development.

Responsibilities

The Nursing Educator is responsible for assisting in the professional development of Nursing Department members and implementing programs aimed at improving the quality of care delivered. Key duties include ensuring training consistency, supporting site trainers, acting as a consultant for integrating new learning into practice, and facilitating changes in nursing practice.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, a minimum of three years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse, and a valid New Jersey Nursing License. A Master's Degree is preferred.
