Job summary

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain core components of MongoDB's Atlas Stream Processing engine, primarily in C++, focusing on database internals and data processing systems. The role requires extensive experience in building scalable distributed database services, a strong foundation in computer science, and collaboration within a small autonomous team.

Responsibilities

You will design, build, and evolve the core execution engine for Atlas Stream Processing in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, you will mentor fellow engineers and take ownership of project architecture and development practices.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building database services, distributed systems, or foundational cloud services at scale. A strong background in database internals and proficiency in modern C++ for performance-sensitive systems is highly preferred.
