Job summary

A Primary Design Engineer in energy infrastructure, focusing on substation design for HV and EHV projects up to 400kV. Responsible for creating detailed designs, technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards within a multidisciplinary team, supporting UK and Ireland's Net Zero energy goals.

Responsibilities

The Primary Design Engineer will produce comprehensive design drawings and technical specifications for HV and EHV substation projects ranging from 132kV to 400kV. They will also act as a CDM Designer or Principal Designer while ensuring all designs are technically compliant and meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Cabling and Earthing EHV Substation Design Electrical Drawings Electrical Engineering Health & Safety (H&S) HV Substation Design Power Transmission Project Management Protection and Control Technical Specifications

Candidates must hold a minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering and possess proven experience in HV and EHV substation design. Proficiency in engineering standards, CDM regulations, and technical policies for electrical plant is essential for this role.
