Job summary

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the 18-bed Transitional Surgical Unit (TSU), focusing on patient care for surgical and trauma patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Must have a BSN or commitment to obtain one within three years, with 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in Stepdown or Progressive Care. Critical Care experience, BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to complex surgical and trauma patients in a transitional care unit associated with a Surgical Critical Care Complex. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while monitoring and supporting patients with higher-acuity needs.

Qualifications

A BSN is required, or the candidate must commit to obtaining one within three years of hire, along with at least 1–2 years of Stepdown or Progressive Care nursing experience. BLS certification is required; critical care experience and ACLS certification are preferred.
