Job summary

Support terminally ill patients at home during overnight shifts, providing compassionate, person-centered care to ensure comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. Work independently with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patient condition, follow care plans, and offer reassurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centred overnight care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes, supporting their comfort, safety, dignity, and wellbeing. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions, follow personalised care plans, and work with the clinical team while reassuring patients and their loved ones.

Qualifications

Caregiving Communication Monitoring Palliative Care Patient Support

Applicants must have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, at least six months of care experience, and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle insured for business use. They should have strong communication skills, a compassionate approach, and experience or knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
