Job summary

Lead and oversee the engineering design of high-voltage transmission substations, ensuring safety, compliance, and innovation. Provide technical leadership, collaborate with contractors and teams, and drive engineering excellence in a large-scale power infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering design delivery of 33kV to 400kV transmission substations while providing technical oversight and strategy across the Strategic Projects portfolio. Act as the primary technical interface with EPC contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and innovative infrastructure delivery.

BIM Electrical engineering Electrical transmission Engineering standards Power systems Project management Regulatory compliance Stakeholder management Substation design Technical leadership

Requires a degree-level engineering qualification and a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical transmission substation design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Chartered Engineer status is preferred, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
